What to Wear to Job Interviews

May 25, 2018 - 32 Comments

Job interviews can be a nerve-wracking moment in everyone’s life but it doesn’t have to. For me, getting dressed affects my attitude and I always want to be confident and be capable of crushing any job especially for a  job interview. One of my earliest outfit posts was after I crushed a job interview (well, several. I was working two jobs and one internship during my early days) and I highly believe that what I wore and my attitude are what got me the job even though I didn’t have enough job experience since I was still in college. Aimee Song, fashion blogger of Song of Style, shows you what to wear to job interviews.Instead of a traditional black suit, I love a matching suit in color. It doesn’t have to be such a bright color but neutral tones or even muted tones like this Mango suit set can definitely make you more memorable than other job applicants.

Aimee Song, fashion blogger of Song of Style, shows you what to wear to job interviews.High waisted trousers like these  Rachel Comey Bishop red pants (similar here and under $100 version here) and a long sleeve blouse always look put together. Plus, you can add some interest with cool earrings like these Beck Jewels asymmetrical peal drop earrings (similar here and affordable here).

If you’re into a more casual environment for fashion, you can take risks but I recommend NOT wearing jeans! I find it looks too casual and like you don’t take your interview seriously. Instead of jeans, try out a good button-down dress or a wrap dress with a pair of pointy pumps to make them look more work appropriate.
