How To Style Colorful Socks & Tights with HUE

September 24, 2017 - 52 Comments

New York City is so vibrant. Although I am an LA girl at heart, I am mesmerized by the culture and spirit this city has to offer. Everything from the street style to the food and buildings inspired me to create outfits that would emulate how I feel about New York. I chose to pair my looks with colorful and bold socks and tights from HUE. Socks have been a huge trend on the runways the past few seasons, so I wanted to take some time and create some inspo for you guys on how to work socks into your daily wardrobe, and to show you how I #ChooseColor, using New York City as my backdrop. If you have followed my fashion week outfits, you will notice I have been rocking the monochrome trend non-stop. Wearing one-single color allows you to make a statement. For this first look, I am wearing head-to-toe red. I added these HUE Ruffled Luster Socks to my Isabel Marant sandals to make this look even bolder. Pairing socks with sandals is actually a great way to transition your summer sandals to more fall-appropriate.This LPA purple off-the-shoulder sweater gives me 90s vibe so I added HUE Petite Fishnet Tights underneath my Raey jeans. The fishnet tights instantly added a grungy feel into the outfit.I think we can all agree that we may never be over millennial pink. I know I’m not, which is why I decided to incorporate this MSGM blazer into one of my looks. I decided to add a pair of Rupert Sanderson embellished pumps matched with the HUE Metallic Roll Top Socks. I’m also wearing AMO crop jeans. I genuinely love this outfit and think it can truly work in any setting. For this look, I wore my new multicolor Chloe sweater. I love the array of colors in this and really wanted to accentuate them, which I did by wearing HUE Ribbed Metallic Stripe socks in bright blue with my Tibi green heels. The outfit ended up being super vibrant but not overbearing.Houndstooth and checkered blazers are a huge trend this season. I’ve seen people left and right wearing this oversized houndstooth blazer look throughout fashion week. I wanted to embrace this trend but also do something different, so instead of wearing matching bottoms, I wore these HUE Metallic Tights instead. Now this Self-portrait oversized blazer is transformed into a dress and it is more feminine. This last look is inspired by Isabel Marant’s F/W 2017 collection. I remember seeing models wearing all black suits and glitter socks with heels on the runway. I was so obsessed with that look and wanted to re-create it with these HUE Metallic Roll Top Socks. Adding silver details to an all-black outfit is a good way to make a black outfit pop. This outfit was perfect for going to a late-night dinner with Jacopo.
