Paris is overwhelmingly beautiful and full of photo spots. In one of the chapters of Capture Your Style, I talk about how to take the best possible outfit photos based on your surroundings, but now I wanna tell you where to actually find the most beautiful off-the-beaten-path places to…wait for it…capture your style! (see what I did there?) Go snap that photo of the Eiffel Tower, of course, but it’s the non-cliché shots that will take you to the next level. Wearing a red Self-Portrait dress, a Chanel bag, and jewelry from SM Malls. I love how the terra-cotta pots match the color of the dress! Le Marais is one of my favorite spots for photos in the whole city. It’s in the third ‘arrondissement’ or district, and it’s dotted with the cutest flower shops and cafés and has amazing architecture. One of my favorite parts is the colored doors! They make for a super simple but equally pretty backdrop. Wearing the same Self-Portrait dress as above, and Proenza Schouler Heels (60% off right now!).Look at this flower shop!! It’s called Bleuet Coquelicot and have you ever seen a cuter place? It’s located in the 10th right by Canal St. Martin. Paris is FULL of gorgeous hotels, but I think Le Royal Monceau is my new favorite. It’s on Avenue Hoche right by L’Arc du Triomphe. The neighborhood is very clean and pretty quiet even though it’s so close to Champs Elysées. Wearing Alexa Chung x AG Jeans (similar here), Two Songs silk cami, Louis Vuitton cardigan, shoes, and bags. Um.. bathroom goals at Le Royal Monceau?? I am DEFINITELY not above a bathroom mirror selfie if it looks like this. Wearing another Self-Portrait dress. My beautiful bedroom at the hotel (complete with acoustic guitar). Dior shoes not included. Back to the colored doors! This time blue to match my Kenzo looks.Another pretty spot, this time in St. Germain-des-Pres. The trick to taking tall building photos when you’re on the ground level is to use a perspective tool when you’re editing so the lines look nice and straight. VSCO has a really easy to use one. Montmartre is not to be forgotten when talking about beautiful photo spots. It’s such a romantic part of town with cobblestone streets, elevated views of the city, and artists painting at every corner. Another bonus about Paris is that in the summer, the sun doesn’t set until super late at night. This photo was taken at 10pm! Wearing an Isabel Marant dress, Celine heels (affordable version here), and a Kenzo bag. Exploring the 16th before a fitting with Elie Saab. I love the residential areas because the architecture is just as beautiful but you don’t have as many people in the background of your photos. Wearing a Louis Vuitton skirt and sweater, Chanel bag, Proenza Schouler Heels, and Ahlem Concorde sunnies (affordable ones here.) On the day of my shoot with Dior, we stumbled upon this pretty gated neighborhood at the end of Avenue Hoche. Look at that stunning gate in the background! Luck was also on our side when we saw the cutest pink car I’ve ever seen. We came back to this spot for photos again and again after finding it.
