One of the questions I get asked the most is what beauty products I use during my travels. I’ve done a couple of travel beauty posts most recent one being the post about my fashion week skincare routine but thought I’d add some new products that I’ve been trying that have been helping my skin a lot!

After my trip to South Korea in October, I learned so much more about skincare. I thought I had an idea but there was so much more to skincare! I’m constantly trying to learn more about my skin including the 10 Step Korean Skincare Routine and have incorporated

Shu Uemura Balancing Cleansing Oil Advanced Formula – I learned that it’s really important to cleanse your skin with an oil cleanser even if you have oily skin because makeup contains oil so you need oil to remove it. I got a sample size so I take that with me when I travel.

I also tried the SK-II Facial Treatment Cleansing Oil which I really loved. It leaves my skin soft but it’s on the pricier side. Another one I started using is the Rodial Bee Venom Cleansing Balm which is so gentle on my skin.

I learned that a toner is a must! Toner preps your skin to better absorb the essences and serums to follow. Right now I’m using Caolion‘s Toner or Lagom’s Toner mist which are only available in Korea. Lancome also has a great toner that’s calm for the skin.

Nothing beats the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence. If SK-II is too pricey, try Missha (a Korean brand) which has a more affordable one that works really well.

I’ve been using Skin Inc customized serums for awhile now. I’ve been switching them up but the three I use the most are Vitamin ACeramide, and Hyaluronic Acid Serums.

Another serum I like to use is the Sulwhasoo Activating Serum. I’ve been using Sulwhasoo for a few months now and I see the improvement in my skin texture.

I should be using sheet masks more often but I love packing these when I’m traveling. The sheet masks help your skin to absorb the nutrients better than if you just applied the cream or serum. My grandma at age 86, still uses sheet masks and if you’ve seen glimpses of her on my snapchat while I was in Korea, you know she has skin better than most 50 year olds. My favorites are the ones I got from Korea that’s hydrating. Dr. Jart and SK-II make really great sheet masks.

I’m on my second bottle of La Mer Illuminating Eye Gel. It definitely helps depuff and makes you feel/look more awaken if you haven’t gotten your beauty sleep so I make sure to pack it when I’m traveling. To be honest though, I’m not quite sure about the wrinkle preventative side as I haven’t seen much difference. I smile a lot and have thin skin around my eyes so I’m always on the look out for a good eye cream that’s preventative. A lot of my industry friends I’ve spoken to swear by La Prarie’s Eye Cream but at around $300 it’s a bit too pricey for me to try. If you know any, please recommend!

Vanicream continues to be my favorite because it’s so gentle, moisturizing, affordable, and doesn’t have any parabans/scents/or harmful chemicals. I also really been loving Lagom, a Korean brand that I discovered during my trip in October. It’s super gentle and moisturizing as well but not sure if they’re sold in America.

Estée Lauder Resilience Lift Night Firming/Sculpting Cream is my new favorite! It’s soooo moisturizing until the next morning which is my favorite part of it. Sulwhasoo Essential Firming Cream is another favorite of mine that I’m almost done using and I do feel its firming effect.

During the day and when I’m out and about, I really LOVE Glossier’s Priming Moisturizer and Balm Dotcom. You’ll always find these two in my purse or travel bag. (Jacopo Moschin stole my Glossier priming moisturizer. Can I have it back please?)

When I’m traveling, I always carry my Skin Inc Deepsea Moisturizing Mask. I apply it on long flights since it goes on clear and is super moisturizing. At night, after all of my moisturizers, if I feel like my skin needs some TLC, I’ll slather this on.

La Mer The Broad Spectrum SPF has been my go to and I’m sad that I just finished it. Before my trip to Mexico I picked up Estee Lauder’s Antioxidant SPF and been using it since.

Another one I use right after I moisturize in the morning is the Rodiance Bee Venom Day Cream. When I use this, I don’t apply any other SPF unless I know I’m going to be out surfing or something. To be honest, I have a love and hate relationship with this day cream. I absolutely hate the applicator. After a week of using it, the applicator stopped working so I always have to unscrew the nozzle/cap and have to tap it onto my hands. It’s so annoying BUT I really like the way it feels on my skin and I’m now on my second bottle.
