Happy New Years everyone! I’m so grateful for all the experiences in 2014, the ups and the downs, and each and every one of you who were part of my journey. I truly hope that 2015 brings more happiness to all of us and also to finally accomplish all of our resolutions!

Most of us start each year with a New Year’s Resolution and although some of us stick to it the first few weeks or even the first few months, I think sometimes, unfortunately, we’re not able to stay committed and achieve our goals. With the new year comes another opportunity to achieve your goals. Here are my New Year’s Resolutions and how I’ll be keeping them!

1. Being more healthy. In 2013 and 2014, I was traveling so much and even though I was trying different sports, I feel like I wasn’t as healthy as I could have been. In 2015, I’d like to focus more on my health and listen to my body. I’m going to try to sleep more (I usually only sleep 4-5 hours a day and catch up on my sleep on weekends) and start working out regularly. I get tired of certain workouts so I usually sign up for different gyms, but I recently discovered ClassPass which is a monthly service that lets you choose different classes (whether it’s boxing one day, pilates the next day, etc.) without having to sign up for all the gyms. I’m also going to be juicing more so I get all the nutrients my body needs! My favorites in L.A. are Juice Served Here, Clover Juice, Press Juice, and Beverly Hills Juicery.

2. Be More Organized. No more piling my clothes on my ottoman or a random chair in my closet! I’m making a habit of hanging up and folding my clothes so my closet is more organized. I realized that the key to organization is to clean up right after you make a mess. Keep picking up daily and regularly get rid of stuff. I’ve been selling my clothes on ebay and have been donating all the proceeds to charity. You can also sell on ebay or donate to a local goodwill or even stop by a local thrift store to sell your goods.

3. Run A Marathon. My best friend Cuit ran last year’s LA Marathon and I sort of trained with him. Well, I didn’t really train but he’d sleepover every Saturday and go running on Sundays and if I didn’t want to go running in the morning, he’d call me a lazy ass so that motivated me to go running with him each time. I ran around 16 miles one time without any training and was in major pain for the next week, but that made me realize that if I trained hard and regularly, I could run the marathon. I already signed up to run the marathon so that’ll really push me to run.

4. Be Positive and Inspire Others. I’m usually quite a positive person, but I want to be even more positive in 2015. I really want to be happy and I realized that being happy isn’t about the situation you’re in but more your state-of-mind. In every situation I want to see the good rather than focus on the bad. Starting every morning with a grateful heart helps and ending the night with gratitude is another way of being grateful and happy.

5. Spend More Time with My Friends and My Family. This kind of goes back to being positive and happy, but spending time with your loved ones and having their support really makes everything better. Ever since I’ve been back from traveling, I’ve been hanging out with my close circle of friends more and we keep sharing positive vibes. Studies have proven that the amount of time spent with friends and family goes a long way towards boosting happiness. One of the great ways I like to spend time with my friends is going hiking. We like to go on hikes and catch up, then finish the hike with some tasty juice or meal.

What are some of your New Year’s Resolution? Any tips on how to keep them?
