Coachella 2017 Festival Outfits

April 19, 2017 - 138 Comments

This year’s Coachella was absolutely AMAZING because guess who was headlining??? My all-time favorite Kendrick Lamar. Oh, and Jacopo surprised me, which was also a plus. Coachella used to be known for Bohemian outfits featuring fringe, denim cutoffs, and boots. Since the early years of the festival, Coachella has transformed from a weekend solely focused on music, to a much larger event where people can eat a huge variety of incredible food, take photos with crazy art installations, party with celebrities, and showcase their individual style. There’s really something for everyone. Instead of going the usual Coachella style route, I focused on wearing chic pieces that were beautiful on their own, and styled them minimally. Although I love all the extra things Coachella has to offer, I do really enjoy the music, so my main priority is to be comfortable and look great, without overdoing it.

To kick off the weekend I stepped out in this gorgeous cherry-red LPA crop top and LPA pants set. To keep the lady in red theme going, I finished the look with a quilted mini Dior bag. I had so much fun taking over Dior’s Insta Stories during the festival, and sported their new So Real Pop Sunglasses (similar herehere, here, and here) the whole time!

Also — a huge shoutout to Infiniti for helping me get me around this weekend! My dad actually used to drive the QX70, so I already knew the car would be super comfortable to ride in. This updated model was even cooler, and the perfect way to get from my hotel, to parties, and to the festival.

For Day Two, I went with a beautiful flowy Chloe dress. After I discovered all of the amazing food vendors at the festival on Day One, I decided to start Day Two in something less restricting so I could munch all day. This piece was so much fun to dance around in! I kept the styling simple with a mini Chloe backpack and some Raye sandals (similar here). Mini bags are an absolute must when it comes to music festivals. With all the dancing you’re doing at each set, the last thing you want to do is bump into everybody around you with your enormous bag.

Another tip: bring your favorite pair of sneakers with you! Halfway through the day my feet started hurting, so I pulled out some converse and danced around in those for the rest of the evening. And don’t worry about sneakers compromising your look — a simple pair of sneakers will go great with pretty much any dress!

At long last, it was Day Three. The day I had been waiting for for SO SO long. I thought Kendrick would like this blue Prada number — a sleeveless top and shorts set. As usual I had my favorite Chloe backpack with me, as well as these super cool Dior sunglasses (similar here), and some cowboy boots from Tommy Hilfiger (similar here and here).

For anyone who’s heading to Coachella for Weekend Two, here are some tips: 1) GO SEE KENDRICK. 2) Drink lots and lots of water. My skin is really sensitive and gets dry easily, so it’s especially important to stay hydrated when in the desert. 3) Bring a bandana — you don’t want to get dust in your mouth and nose when it gets windy!
