Since Cannes, I’ve been in Venice and Milan, and I’m currently writing this visual diary (and a little behind the scenes of what really went on in Cannes!) as I sit on the edge of the bed in Jacopo’s Milan apartment.
As I mentioned in the previous post, I was invited on Leonardo’s yacht since I’m costarring in his new movie. J/K Maybe in my next life! I was invited by a fragrance brand called The Harmonist, so I got to discover their fragrances and attend their party. So here’s the thing, when it comes to parties, since I don’t drink alcohol, it’s all about the music. No matter how amazing the crowd is or how much free alcohol they serve, if they don’t have good music, it’s really hard for me to have fun. BUT they had Jason Derulo perform and I didn’t know I was such a fan until I started singing along to almost all of his songs. I think Jacopo, Camilla (my Brazilian babe was there with Icaro so it was extra fun) and I were literally the last people to leave the party because we were dancing our butts off singing along.
I stayed at Hotel Martinez, which had a not so safe way to access the rooftop (but then again, I shouldn’t have went up the ladders in heels even if they are mid heels from Proenza Schouler (60% off here!)). As someone who’s all about enjoying the moment and capturing a shot while doing it, I had to get a shot in this beautiful Anna October dress (similar here, and more details here) against the stunning ocean view backdrop. It was definitely worth going up the ladder and risking my life for this photo! hahaI couldn’t just pass a pink building with pretty light blue shutters. Oh, that’s me on the right totally posing for a boat shot before I got off the boat. The amazing sunnies are from Self Portrait x Le Spec. Breakfast time! No, I did not wake up like this. I was applying my base makeup (in this photo I currently have on sunscreen, Laura Mercier Silk Crème Oil Free Photo Foundation, and have my brows filled in) when my breakfast arrived and because I felt super fancy ordering room service in my robe in Cannes I wanted a shot! I may or may not have spilled a lil coffee on the sheets. Oops! It’s my absolute favorite hotel in the French Riviera. If you’re visiting Cannes, I highly suggest heading over to Antibes (it’s super close!) and checking out my favorite hotel, Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc where the most iconic people from F. Scott Fitzgerald to the Kennedys, and even Pablo Picasso stayed. This place is stunning and you’ll find one of my favorite photographers, Slim Aaron’s photos hanging on the walls.Took these photos inside our hotel right before we headed off to The Harmonist event with my Jacopo (look how handsome he is!). Wearing an Alexia Maria off-the-shoulder cape top and cigarette pants (similar here). So when it comes to parties in Cannes, everyone is dressed to impress. I seriously thought I was partying with a bunch of A-List actors and musicians, because everyone was wearing some sick gown/tuxedo, etc. I was definitely underdressed but at least I was able to get down when Jason Derulo was singing “Wiggle, Wiggle.” The girls in their couture dresses? They looked stunning but they couldn’t really wiggle wiggle. My giant earrings are from Proenza Schouler. Here’s my serious face trying to spray on some perfume from The Harmonist. Jacopo is in love with the magnetic wood scent.I can’t visit South of France without some tasty gelato and can’t have ice cream without taking a photo for my instagram and can’t have a photo without taking a snap video for my snapchat just so that everyone knows that I actually eat it! I’ve had ice cream every single day since I got to Europe. Visited The Harmonist store and explored Old Cannes in a Caroline Constas off-the-shoulder top, Privacy Please skirt, Chloe sandals, and Self-Portrait x Le Specs sunnies. Yes, I did walk around the entire old Cannes in my Chloe lace up sandals and no, they aren’t as comfortable as walking in sneakers but at least they match my outfit and they aren’t high heels. Trust me, I saw ladies walking around in Cannes in high heels. My last day exploring Cannes. Felt a bit like a movie star with my giant shades (there were paparazzis waiting outside our hotel… they were waiting for Kim K.) I’m wearing a Keepsake dress, Schutz sandals, and carrying a Louis Vuitton Petit Malle clutch.
