Dani and I flew to the Philippines with All Nippon Airways with a short layover in Tokyo. I knew when i had a chance to visit the Philippines, I wanted to visit the beach and so many of you guys suggested either Boracay or Palawan. We chose to visit Palawan since it seemed to be more quiet and less crowded. Omg, I completely fell in love with Palawan. We first landed in Manila then had to take a separate flight to Palawan, then take a small ferry from their small airport to the resort called El Nido in Palagusian island in Palawan. The weather was absolutely perfect without being too hot or too humid. The first day we got to the island we pretty much just laid on the beach and drank about 3 boku juice aka coconut juice each. There are an abundance of coconuts in the Philippines and it was so refreshing!
I wore an eyelet top and skirt from Ulla Johnson and lace up sandals from Tibi. The top also comes in a stunning black, but I kept it cool for the island in a lighter color. The hotel room had several straw hats so I got the wide brimmed straw hat to keep myself from the sun. Since I knew I was going to be spending most of my time on the beach, all the clothes I brought for my Philippines trip were easy bohemian inspired easy pieces. Think lace, eyelets, denim cut-offs and flat sandals.
I brought with me this gorgeous beaded one piece swimming suit (also here) from Mara Hoffman. I felt like the beaded accents on this swimming suit was ethnic inspired and would be perfect for an island getaway.
Also wearing a bikini set from Mara Hoffman. This one has embroidery and goes so well with the beautiful backdrop in Palawan.
